Product Overview
Description
Chateau Des Papes is a Belgian jacquard woven wall tapestry. The art comes from a painting by Paul Signac (1863 – 1935) called The Papal Palace, Avignon completed in 1900. Signac was a French Neo-Impressionist painter who, working with Georges Seurat, helped develop the Pointillist style. This painting is Signac's take on The historical palace in Avignon, southern France, one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe, the Palais des Papes.
