Edge of the River Au Bord de la Riviere French Wall Tapestry

Edge of the River, or Au Bord de la Riviere, is a European jacquard wall tapestry a rendering of the painting by Daniel Ridgway Knight (1839 – 1924), called Hailing the Ferryman. He was an American painter born in Philadelphia, but after 1872 he lived in France on the Seine. He is famed for painting peasant women outdoors.
